Predictions League

The classic score prediction game. The aim is to accumulate the most points by accurately predicting the scores of football matches.

Scoring System

• Correct Score (3 points): Awarded if you predict the exact score of the match (e.g., you predict 2-1 and the match finishes 2-1).
• Correct Result (1 point): Awarded if you correctly predict the outcome of the match (win, draw, or loss) but not the exact score (e.g., you predict 2-1 and the match finishes 3-0).
• Incorrect Prediction (0 points): No points are awarded if you predict the wrong outcome.

League Modifiers

Leagues can have special modifiers that change how you play:

• Captain: In leagues with this modifier, you must select one of your predictions as a 'Captain'. Any points earned from your Captained match are doubled.
• Captain or +1: This modifier gives you a choice each gameweek:
  • Either make the standard number of predictions and select a Captain to double your points for that match.
  • Or, choose to make one extra prediction for the gameweek instead of selecting a Captain.

Last Man Standing (LMS)

A knockout-style survival game. The objective is simple: be the last player left in the game.

Core Gameplay

• Each gameweek, you must pick one team that you think will satisfy the league's survival rule.
• Once you pick a team, you cannot pick them again for the rest of that LMS game.
• If you fail to make a pick for a gameweek, you will be eliminated.

Survival Rules

Your survival depends on your picked team's result and the league's specific rule, which is set when the league is created:

• Must Not Lose: Your chosen team must either win or draw their match. If they lose, you are eliminated. This is the default and most common rule.
• Must Win: Your chosen team must win their match. If they draw or lose, you are eliminated.
• Must Lose: Your chosen team must lose their match. If they win or draw, you are eliminated.

Special Scenarios

• Mass Extinction: If all remaining players in a league are eliminated in the same gameweek, a reprieve is granted! All those players survive and continue to the next round.
• Running Out of Teams: If you manage to survive long enough to have picked every available team in the competition, your list of used teams will be reset, allowing you to pick from all teams again.

Winning the Game

• The game continues until only one player remains. This player is crowned the "Last Man Standing".
• Once a winner is decided, the league is marked as finished. The league administrator can then reset the league to start a new game, clearing all picks and reinstating all players.

General

• Deadlines: All predictions and picks must be submitted before the kick-off time of the first match of the gameweek. The deadline for the upcoming gameweek is always displayed on the homepage.
• Editing Picks: You can change your predictions or LMS pick as many times as you like up until the deadline.
